My name is Chris Moody, and I'm a 24 year old environmental graduate living at home in Dorset, UK.

I recently graduated from Bournemotuh University with a 1st Class degree in Environment & Coastal Management, and have had the fortune to take part in several short term ecology and conservation contracts over the last 2 years.

The degree provided me with a range of knowledge and skill, including:

  • GIS - ArcGIS, MapInfo, Surfer 8, Google Earth, MapSource
  • Lab skills - Identification of preserved specimens, dissection, good lab practice, analytical chemistry...
  • Field skills -Vegetation & habitat surveys, use of handhelp GPS units and total stations...
  • Environmental policy & Law - Awareness of existing terrestrial and marine legislation as well as upcoming legislation such as the Marine Bill
  • Computing skills - A history in IT provides me with an advantage in most computer applications, fast and accurate data entry...

As well as the topics covered by my degree, I have an interest in photography, sculpting, scuba diving, and invertebrates (I am currently breeding a species of tropical beetle, and in the past have kept various species of shrimp and insects!)

I specifically enjoy combining my interests, such as underwater photography, or geocaching with sculpting (by creating pieces for placing in caches).
